Troubleshooting Why Isn’t my Xfinity internet network working? Check your equipment first starting with these basics. 1. Check your cables to be sure they are plugged in. If everything is plugged in you should see lights on the front of your Gateway, router or modem. If you have an older LAN cable with a plastic clip at the end, if the plastic breaks, your line can appear fastened but in fact it’s not and there won’t be a solid connection 2. Reboot your modem and router by unplugging the power from the wall, waiting at least one minute, then plugging the power back in. If you have the My Xfinity Account app you can even reset the modem from outside your home if you’re away. 3. If a reboot doesn’t fix this issue, then you can consider a reset of the equipment back to factory settings but this will erase customized settings and stored memory. If you customized your network then you would lose those settings and have to re-do them. To reset, find the reset button on the back of the unit, press and hold down for 30 seconds. Why is my Xfinity cable Not Working? Check all your cables to see that they’re secure. You can refresh your TV signal by unplugging the box from the power adaptor, waiting a minute, and then plugging it back into the wall. It will take a minute or so to reset and that may clear the issue. Should you need to reset your Gateway the name and password are on the bottom of the device.
