Is HughesNet Still Around?

HughesNet is still around as a satellite internet provider to around a million residential customers but has fewer home internet clients than a few years ago. Competitors such as Starlink and now Viasat are offering no-contract plans for home internet service while HughesNet still demands a 2-year commitment. Additionally, HughesNet now focusses more heavily on its airline in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity business.
