Frontier and Spectrum are two distinct companies, each providing internet and home phone services. However, Spectrum goes a step further by also offering television services. Depending on your location, Frontier provides DSL and fiber-optic plans. Meanwhile, Spectrum specializes in cable internet. Although Spectrum utilizes a hybrid coaxial and fiber network for its cable service, it does not provide fiber optic service. While there is significant overlap in their coverage areas, Spectrum primarily operates east of the Mississippi River with additional coverage in the Southwest and West Coast; Frontier serves similar areas but has a higher concentration in the Great Lakes region and Western United States.
