How do I Get Starlink Internet?

Getting Starlink internet in your home is really easy. Well, let me clarify: either really easy or temporarily impossible. As Starlink is currently in its beta phase, it only has limited coverage around the globe. Most Starlink beta testers are in select areas of the US, some in Canada, and a handful in Australia, New Zealand, and select European countries.

If you live in areas that currently have coverage, signing up is easy. If you live somewhere else, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that you can’t get Starlink internet now. The good news is that Starlink plans to cover the entire globe with satellite internet coverage, so you will definitely be able to get it in the future (unless you for some reason live on the north or south pole).

To find out if Starlink is available in your area yet or not, just visit the Starlink website and type in your address. If it is not yet available where you live, it will give you an estimated time for when Starlink coverage will reach your area. This will also be the same page where you sign up. Simply put in your name, contact information, and payment method, and you’re good to go. If you are already in an area with Starlink coverage, your equipment will be mailed to you in a few weeks. If you live elsewhere, you will only pay a $99 deposit to reserve your spot and you will be notified when your service is ready.
