Yes, Viasat offers the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) to both new and existing customers.

Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB)

The EBB is a federal program that offers temporary assistance in paying for internet services to customers who qualify that have been impacted by the pandemic. It can reduce your monthly payment for internet services by up to $50 a month, or you may get up $75 off if you live in qualifying Tribal lands. This program will be in effect until it either runs out of money, or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the pandemic.

Options for Viasat customers

Existing Viasat customers have two options for opting into the EBB:

• Upgrade your plan and apply the funds to the cost of better features
• Apply the funds to the cost of your current plan

If you are a new customer, and you qualify for the EBB, you can apply it directly to the cost of your new plan.

Do I qualify for the EBB?

You may qualify for the EBB if one of the following applies to you:

• You have an income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if you receive certain kinds of government assistance
• You have qualified for either the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program
• You received the Pell Grant this year
• You already qualify for an internet provider’s low-income or COVID-19 program
