It depends on whether you use the router Starlink provides, or you use your own. Starlink has no limit on the number of devices you use, so the only limit is what your hardware can support. The Starlink app says that the Starlink router can support up to 128 devices. Not that you’re going to want to connect 128 devices though. You still only have so much bandwidth, and it’s going to be split between all your connections. That means your speed is going to start dropping if you try to connect too many devices at once.

How many wired devices can I connect to the Starlink router?

Technically, as many as you want, but you’re going to need additional hardware. What you need is going to depend on which satellite and router model you have. Starlink has just released a new satellite dish and router kit, but it’s easy to tell which one you have. The old model of satellite is round, but the new one is smaller and has a square shaped dish.

If you have the old model, you can connect one wired device with no additional equipment, but for more than one you’ll need to purchase a network switch. If you have the new model though, you’re going to need to make one additional purchase. The new model router does not have a built-in ethernet port, but you can buy an adapter to add one from the Starlink Shop.
