Mescalero Apache Telecom (MATI) began operations in 2008 and provides fiber-optic broadband services to the Mescalero Apache Tribe located in the state of New Mexico. MATI is a for-profit subsidiary of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.
MATI provides high-speed internet services with speeds ranging from 15 Mbps (Megabits per second) to 50 Mbps and up to 300 Mbps in some areas. They offer reliability through fiber-optic service, and customer service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
With a coverage area of about 4,500 square miles, MATI serves 3 rural counties in New Mexico: Chaves, Lincoln and Otero. Their service areas include Ruidoso, Mescalero, Carrizozo, San Patricio, Lincoln, and surrounding communities.
