Bridger Valley Electric Association (BVEA) is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative based in Lyman, Wyoming. It was established in 1937 to provide electric services to rural households in Sweetwater, Uinta and Lincoln Counties. It now provides power to over 10,000 members in its expansive coverage area. BVEA strives for reliable electric power in all four seasons. Its goal is to make sure that emergency communications, television transmissions, and basic necessities such as food and water are not impacted by power outages. They have an extensive network of substations and transmission lines, ensuring that 99+% of customers are rarely without power. BVEA provides a variety of services, such as lightning protection services for ranches, connection services for pre-paid metering, energy conservation programs, communication initiatives, and a variety of rebates and specials.
