Starlink Internet From $55/mo + DISH TV Options

DISH TV starts separately at $94.99/mo. Combined cost starts at $149.99/mo before taxes and fees. The $55 internet plan is available in select areas.

If you live where cable and fiber don't reach, Starlink internet plus DISH satellite TV is one of the few ways to get both fast home internet and a full live TV lineup. DISH now sells Starlink alongside its TV packages and advertises Starlink plans starting at $55 a month.

That $55 is the price of the internet alone. DISH TV starts at $94.99 a month, the two services are billed separately, and DISH does not advertise a combined Starlink bundle price. Here's what each piece costs, what the real combined price looks like and how it compares with pairing Starlink with DIRECTV.

Quick answer

  • Starlink internet: from $55/mo (Residential 100 Mbps in select areas, or Roam 100GB). Residential 200 Mbps is $85/mo and Residential Max is $130/mo.
  • DISH TV: from $94.99/mo for America's Top 120 with a Hopper 3 DVR for 1 TV, local channels and a 2-year TV price guarantee.
  • Together: from $149.99/mo before taxes, equipment and other fees.
  • Billing: TV and internet are billed separately. DISH says it doesn't currently offer a Starlink bundle.
  • Prices: as of October 2026. They vary by location and may change.

What "starting at $55 a month" means

DISH's Starlink page shows two prices side by side: TV from DISH starting at $94.99 a month and internet from Starlink starting at $55 a month, with a note that TV and internet are billed separately. The $55 figure matches Starlink's own lowest plans:

  • Residential 100 Mbps ($55/mo): unlimited data with download speeds capped at 100 Mbps. Starlink only offers it in select areas.
  • Roam 100GB ($55/mo): a travel plan for RVs and campers with 100 GB of high-speed data, then unlimited low-speed data. It's not meant to be a home's only connection.

If the 100 Mbps tier isn't offered at your address, your lowest home plan may be Residential 200 Mbps at $85 or Residential Max at $130. Check our Starlink monthly cost guide for more on how Starlink prices its plans.

Equipment, fees and terms to know

  • Starlink hardware: the cost depends on your address. Starlink advertises no upfront hardware cost in select areas. The standard home kit includes the dish, a kickstand, a Wi-Fi router, a cable and a power supply.
  • Starlink Mini for Roam: DISH's Starlink terms list either a $199 upfront equipment purchase or a 12-month commitment at $16 a month. If you cancel during those 12 months, the remaining balance is due right away.
  • Starlink cancellation: Starlink offers a 30-day trial with a full refund, but canceling service can carry fees.
  • DISH credit check and upfront fees: advertised prices require credit qualification and eAutoPay. Upfront activation or receiver upgrade fees may apply based on your credit.
  • DISH early termination fee: $20 for each month left on the 2-year commitment.
  • DISH extra TVs: beyond the TVs included in your qualifying package, additional-TV fees can be $5 to $7 a month; enhanced receivers can cost $10 to $15. Confirm your equipment charges when ordering.
  • DISH Protect: optional; if selected, billed at $12.99 a month after the first 6 months unless you cancel.
  • Regional sports: DISH's current offer terms don't list a separate regional sports fee. America's Top 120+ adds sports channels such as Big Ten Network and NFL Network.
  • Not in DISH's price guarantee: taxes and surcharges, premium channels and other add-ons, DISH Protect and transactional fees.

How the Starlink + DISH setup works

  1. Check Starlink availability. Enter your address on Starlink's availability map. Light blue means service is available, blue means a waitlist because the area is at capacity, and navy means service is coming soon. Our Starlink availability map guide explains more.
  2. Pick your DISH package. Choose based on channels and the number of TVs. DISH runs a credit check to confirm your price and any upfront fees.
  3. Pick your Starlink plan. Your address decides which Residential tiers and hardware pricing you can get.
  4. Order. DISH sells Starlink as an authorized retailer, so you can set up both services in one call, or you can order Starlink directly from Starlink.
  5. Installation. DISH offers professional TV installation and Starlink setup. Confirm appointment timing, mounting needs and any installation charges when you order. You can also install Starlink yourself, since the kit is plug-and-play.
  6. Separate billing. DISH states that TV and internet are billed separately. Confirm who handles your internet bill and support when ordering through a retailer.

Because DISH TV comes in through its own satellite dish, live TV doesn't use your Starlink connection. That leaves all of your internet bandwidth for streaming, video calls and gaming.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Both work almost anywhere with a clear view of the sky, including rural areas without cable or fiber.
  • DISH offers professional Starlink setup alongside its satellite TV service; confirm whether both installations can be scheduled together.
  • Live TV doesn't use internet, so a busy household doesn't slow down Starlink.
  • Unlimited data on all Starlink Residential plans.
  • DISH locks in your TV price for 2 years.

Cons

  • DISH does not advertise a combined Starlink bundle price; compare the separately billed services and any eligible promotions.
  • Two bills and two support teams.
  • The $55 Starlink plan is only offered in select areas and caps downloads at 100 Mbps.
  • DISH requires a 2-year commitment and a credit check, and prices rise after 2 years.
  • Starlink hardware costs vary by address, and trees or rooflines that block the sky can cause dropouts (see do trees interfere with Starlink).

Who Starlink + DISH is for

  • Rural households with no cable or fiber that want a full live TV lineup and real broadband.
  • Homes leaving DSL or older satellite internet that want lower latency and unlimited data. See our Starlink latency guide.
  • Sports and local news fans who want live channels that don't depend on internet speed.
  • RVers and campers who pair DISH's portable options with a Starlink Roam plan. Our Starlink Residential vs. travel guide explains the difference.

Maybe skip it if fiber or cable already reaches your home. Wired internet is usually faster and cheaper, and streaming TV may cost less than satellite. Our best internet for rural areas guide covers the alternatives.

Starlink + DISH vs. Starlink + DIRECTV

DIRECTV doesn't advertise its own Starlink offer, but you can pair DIRECTV satellite TV with Starlink you order separately. Here's how the entry-level setups compare.

Frequently asked questions

Is Starlink plus DISH really $55 a month?

No. $55 a month is the starting price for Starlink internet on its own, on the Residential 100 Mbps plan (select areas only) or the Roam 100GB plan. DISH TV starts at $94.99 a month for America's Top 120, so the lowest combined price is $149.99 a month before taxes, equipment and other fees.

Does DISH offer a combined Starlink bundle?

DISH says it doesn't currently offer a Starlink bundle and lists the two services as billed separately. Confirm any individual-service promotions and billing arrangements when you order.

Will DISH install my Starlink dish?

DISH offers professional Starlink setup, with a technician choosing the best spot for the dish. Installation fees may apply. Starlink includes free professional installation with its Residential 200 Mbps and Max plans. Professional installation isn't available in Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Do I need a contract for DISH and Starlink?

DISH's advertised prices require credit qualification, eAutoPay and a 2-year commitment, with an early termination fee of $20 for each remaining month. Starlink plans are priced monthly with a 30-day trial, but canceling can carry fees, and equipment financed over 12 months becomes due in full if you cancel early.

Does DISH TV use my Starlink data?

No. DISH live TV arrives through its own satellite dish, so watching channels doesn't use your internet. Apps and some On Demand features on the DISH receiver do use internet. Starlink Residential plans include unlimited data, while Roam 100GB and 300GB plans slow down after their high-speed allotment.

Is DISH plus Starlink cheaper than DIRECTV plus Starlink?

At the entry level it's close. DISH America's Top 120 at $94.99 plus Starlink at $55 comes to $149.99 a month. DIRECTV ENTERTAINMENT via satellite is $99.99 a month with its required $10 TV Access Fee, so with Starlink at $55 it comes to $154.99. Both advertised TV offers require a 24-month agreement; Starlink has separate service and equipment terms. Taxes and other fees are extra.
