Comcast’s third-quarter report shows Peacock delivered its second consecutive profitable quarter. For the quarter ended September 30, 2026, Comcast reported $1.8 billion in Peacock revenue and $261 million in adjusted EBITDA. Paid subscribers increased 17% year over year to 48 million.

Comcast released the results on October 22. The company said Peacock’s performance was driven by strong growth in distribution. The reported revenue included FIFA World Cup-related amounts, so the quarter should be read in the context of the event as well as subscription and distribution trends.

What drove the quarter?

Comcast attributed Peacock’s result to strong distribution growth. The reported $1.8 billion of revenue included FIFA World Cup-related amounts. That means the headline total reflects both the platform’s ongoing subscription business and event-related viewing; it is not a pure measure of recurring subscription revenue.

Subscriber momentum continued as the paid base reached 48 million, up 17% from the year-earlier period. Comcast did not present that figure as a full-year forecast. It is a quarter-end subscriber count, not a measure of monthly active viewers or a promise about future additions.

Why the adjusted EBITDA result matters

Peacock’s $261 million in adjusted EBITDA was $478 million higher year over year, compared with a $217 million loss in Q3 2025. Comcast described this as the streamer’s second straight profitable quarter. Adjusted EBITDA is a company-defined operating measure; it is not the same as net income, free cash flow or the amount subscribers pay.

The year-over-year comparison is especially notable because Q3 2025 also included major sports-related programming. Comcast’s release reports rounded Peacock revenue of $1.8 billion versus $1.4 billion a year earlier. Those rounded amounts should not be used to calculate a precise growth rate.

What Comcast’s report does and does not tell viewers

The earnings release is a financial update, not a new Peacock plan announcement. It does not change the current subscription price, guarantee that a particular program will remain available, or describe a new feature. Check Peacock’s current plan page for the latest pricing and content lineup.

For basketball fans, the NBA’s 2026–27 schedule places games across ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock and Prime Video. Peacock is the streaming home for NBCUniversal’s NBA games, while games on other partners may require their respective services.
