Peacock NBA Features Explained: Performance View, ScoreCard and Alternate Cams
Peacock streams every NBA game NBC Sports carries, and it adds interactive features you won't get on the regular NBC broadcast. The main ones are Peacock Performance View, Peacock ScoreCard and extra camera feeds. They're Peacock app features. If you watch on your local NBC channel through DIRECTV, you get the standard broadcast. To use them, open the Peacock app, which runs on DIRECTV Gemini devices with a Peacock subscription.
Peacock Performance View
Performance View is an alternate viewing mode for live NBA games on Peacock. It adds an on-screen data overlay to the game. According to Peacock, it shows:
- Labels, headshots and icons for who has the ball and who's on a shooting streak
- A Player Pulse Card at the top of the screen with shot-zone heat maps, in-game shooting stats and star ratings for two- and three-point shooting
- Scoring probability and shot tracking from the shooter's hands to the hoop
To use it, select Performance View during a live NBA game on Peacock.
Peacock ScoreCard
Peacock describes ScoreCard as "BINGO meets fantasy sports." It's a free-to-play prediction game that runs alongside live NBA games on Peacock:
- Pick a card with three players and stat goals, such as 25+ points. Cards come in Home, Away and Matchup versions, and you can shuffle for new options.
- On mobile, you can choose a card up to 24 hours before tip-off. On TV, pick it during the pregame. You can change it until tip-off.
- Earn points as players hit their goals, with bonuses for completing columns. Your ranking against other Peacock viewers updates live.
You can play ScoreCard in the Peacock app on TV devices and phones. On TV, it's in the broadcast player. On mobile, it's in the mini-games rail.
Action Cams and Courtside Live
Peacock's NBA promotions mention Action Cams, but as of October 20, 2026, Peacock hasn't published details on how they work or which games have them. The closest documented feature is Courtside Live. It shows the main broadcast alongside other camera feeds, including key players and the benches, and lets you switch between them. Peacock says Courtside Live is available on all platforms and works especially well on mobile, for select games each week. We'll update this section when Peacock explains Action Cams.
Other Peacock NBA extras
- Can't Miss Highlights: vertical, swipeable highlights, only in the Peacock mobile app.
- Catch Up With Key Plays: a running playlist of big moments, under the player controls.
- NBA Hub: live games, team hubs, schedules and highlights all in one place.
