What the special covers
The special uses archival news coverage, accounts from residents who found the mess on their lawns, and interviews with former law enforcement officials to look at a case that turned into memes, theories and late-night jokes. TLC says new clues and fresh voices push the investigation in unexpected directions as it asks whether it was a prank, a personal grudge or something else.
The jogger was never publicly identified, which is why the case still counts as one of the odder unsolved mysteries of the past decade.
