How to Watch Split Rock on Shudder

Split Rock is scheduled to premiere on Shudder on Friday, December 25, 2026. AMC/Shudder’s official November–December calendar lists it as a Shudder Original Film. Check the exact title in the service and country where you plan to watch.

For other horror options, see the horror movie guide and Unholy Night on Shudder. A Christmas release date does not make this a family holiday film; review the content advisory.

What the film is about

The ecological horror story follows partners Lauren and Ben investigating an unusual discovery in the landscape. With colleague Sam and intern Trevor, their research brings them into contact with a destructive force beneath the ground. Check the listing for language and caption options; this guide does not repeat an unverified runtime.

Watch through the right subscription

Use Shudder’s app or website, or look for the title in an eligible AMC+ plan that includes Shudder. The service through which you pay can determine which app or on-demand menu you use. A standalone Shudder login, a partner-channel purchase and a TV-provider add-on are not automatically interchangeable.

Search the full title and confirm the 2026 release. A trailer or reminder before December 25 is not the complete movie, and a similarly named film or separate rental can require different payment.

DIRECTV and the AMC channel

For the separate linear network, see AMC on DIRECTV. A channel package alone does not establish access to a Shudder original. Confirm the app, add-on and supported equipment, using the Gemini device guide if relevant.

Before Christmas viewing

  1. Confirm the film is listed for the actual account and region.
  2. Check whether an existing subscription already provides access.
  3. Test the intended TV or streaming device.
  4. Review current pricing and renewal terms before buying another subscription.

The calendar confirms the date without a universal release hour. Check the live title listing on December 25 instead of assuming a particular midnight drop.
