What is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 about?
Edgerunners 2 pulls viewers back into Night City with a raw story of redemption and revenge. Weak, a washed-up edgerunner once known as “King,” is forced to live without his chrome while he looks for a sense of purpose. The nomad netrunner D hunts the killer who wiped out his Snake Nation clan, a path that leads him toward corporate secrets. Their stories cross with Roman Carax, a young film lover documenting the city’s real stories, and Talia, a corpo-raised fighter who runs with the Maelstrom gang.
You don’t need to have seen the 2022 original to follow it. The first Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, about street kid David Martinez, is also on Netflix if you want to catch up first.
Who voices the characters?
The Japanese cast includes Kentaro Tone as Weak, Koki Uchiyama as D, Momoka Terasawa as Roman, Akari Kito as Talia and Akemi Okamura as Avida. An English dub is also planned; Anime News Network’s listing names Clancy Brown as Weak Kingsley, directed by Wendee Lee. In the Netflix app, switch between Japanese and English audio and subtitles from the Audio & Subtitles menu during playback.
