Fubo Adds Local NBA Games for the Hawks, Heat, Thunder and 4 More Teams: How DIRECTV Compares
By American TV editorial team |
Fubo announced seven new local NBA distribution agreements on October 22, 2026. They cover the Hawks, Hornets, Pistons, Heat, Bucks, Thunder and Magic for the 2026–27 season. These are regional games, so an agreement does not make every matchup available nationwide.
Compare the NBA on DIRECTV hub, our team-by-team local viewing guide and the separate DIRECTV–DAZN five-team deal.
Teams in the announcement
| Team | Regional outlet named by Fubo |
|---|---|
| Atlanta Hawks | Gray local networks |
| Charlotte Hornets | WAXN |
| Detroit Pistons | Scripps local networks |
| Miami Heat | WPLG Local 10 |
| Milwaukee Bucks | Bucks TV |
| Oklahoma City Thunder | Griffin local networks |
| Orlando Magic | WRDQ and WJAX.2 |
Fubo also cites its previously announced ClipperVision agreement. Use the address-specific lineup and game listing to establish which feed and games your account receives.
How to compare with DIRECTV
Start with the games you actually want to watch. Local team coverage, national broadcasts and streaming exclusives can require different channels or subscriptions. The DIRECTV–DAZN deal covers a different five-team group: Cleveland, Indiana, Memphis, Minnesota and San Antonio, with package and home-territory restrictions.
For a team carried on a local broadcast station, check that exact station in your DIRECTV lineup. A station being free over the air does not mean every television provider carries it at your address. Where antenna reception is practical, compare that option with a paid package.
Before choosing a package
- Enter the installation address and confirm the team's home-territory eligibility.
- Look up several upcoming games, including national and streaming-exclusive dates.
- Compare the full monthly bill, sports fees, equipment and post-promotion rate.
- Check recording limits, supported devices and simultaneous-stream rules.
- For out-of-market viewing, investigate League Pass and its blackout rules separately.
Our Fubo My Local Sports comparison explains another option to check. Do not buy a package based solely on a team's name appearing in a news release.
