DIRECTV and DAZN Deal Brings Local Cavaliers, Pacers, Grizzlies, Timberwolves and Spurs Games to DIRECTV
By American TV editorial team |
DIRECTV and DAZN announced a new multi-year agreement on October 26, 2026, that puts local telecasts of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs on DIRECTV. The games are available now to DIRECTV streaming, satellite and U-verse customers who live inside each team's NBA-designated home territory and have the Choice package or higher (U200 or higher on U-verse).
Compare national coverage in the NBA on DIRECTV hub, check the local NBA team guide, or see the confirmed Cavaliers channel 660 report for Cleveland-specific access.
What changed
DAZN offers a local team service for each of these five teams. Under the new deal, DIRECTV now carries each team's DAZN telecasts on its own channel. Each team service carries live pregame, postgame and in-game coverage.
The agreement also covers DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS, so sports bars, restaurants, fitness clubs and other commercial venues inside each team's region can show the games too.
DIRECTV channels for the five teams
| Team | DIRECTV streaming and satellite | U-verse |
|---|---|---|
| Cleveland Cavaliers | 660 | 1734/734 |
| Indiana Pacers | 671 | 1749/749 |
| Memphis Grizzlies | 649 | 1728/728 |
| Minnesota Timberwolves | 668 | Not listed by DIRECTV |
| San Antonio Spurs | 680 | 1756/756 |
Channel numbers are from DIRECTV's October 26, 2026, announcement. DIRECTV didn't list a U-verse channel for the Timberwolves, so U-verse customers in Minnesota should call to confirm.
Who can watch
The games are only for customers inside each team's NBA home territory. If you live outside it, the local DAZN telecast won't be available on your DIRECTV account. You also need the right package:
- DIRECTV streaming or satellite: Choice or higher
- U-verse TV: U200 or higher
DIRECTV didn't announce a separate fee for these channels. Pricing and the exact areas each team covers can vary, so call 1-855-690-9884 to check your address and package.
DAZN app access with your DIRECTV login
DIRECTV says that in the coming weeks, customers who get these teams through DIRECTV will be able to sign in to the DAZN platform with their DIRECTV login at no additional cost. DIRECTV hasn't given an exact date for that yet.
When it starts
The games are on DIRECTV now. DIRECTV's announcement says Cavaliers local games "are now available" on channel 660, and lists the other four teams' channels as available too. The DAZN app sign-in comes later.
Where the rest of the NBA stands on DIRECTV
DIRECTV says it now has multi-year deals for 28 of the 29 U.S.-based NBA teams, and regional or local rights to 76 of the 81 U.S.-based NHL, NBA and MLB teams. For every team's local channel and national game coverage, see our NBA on DIRECTV guide.
