Christmas Horror Movies on Shudder: 2026 Holiday Lineup
By American TV editorial team |
Shudder’s November–December 2026 calendar mixes Christmas horror library additions with new releases. The holiday lineup includes Unholy Night and Joe Bob Conquers Christmas on December 4, plus older films arriving in several November and December groups.
See the dedicated Unholy Night guide and Joe Bob Christmas guide for those separate listings. Our horror movie guide offers more options beyond the holiday theme.
November 1: start the holiday watchlist
The official calendar lists Christmas Evil, Better Watch Out, A Christmas Horror Story and Don’t Open Till Christmas among the November 1 additions. Check the exact title in your account once the date arrives. An announced addition does not establish a release hour in every region.
November 26: two Black Christmas films
Both Black Christmas (1974) and Black Christmas (2006) are listed for November 26. Search the year as well as the name so that a watchlist or rental result does not send you to a different version.
December 1: more seasonal horror
The calendar includes P2, A Christmas Tale (2005), Silent Night, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and The Haunted Season episode “The Fated Hour” in its December 1 group. The episode is a different format from a feature film, so check the actual program listing before planning a double feature.
December 4: film and hosted special
Unholy Night is a Christmas horror film about a family celebration disrupted by returning dead relatives. Joe Bob Conquers Christmas is a separate hosted special featuring Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl, two films and a charity fundraiser. The calendar does not name the two films, so this guide does not invent a double-feature lineup.
December 25: Split Rock
Split Rock is scheduled for Christmas Day, but it is an ecological supernatural horror story rather than a Christmas-themed film. Keep release date and subject matter separate when picking something for a holiday gathering.
Check access before paying twice
Use Shudder or confirm that an existing AMC+ subscription includes the title in your country. Buying access through one provider does not necessarily authorize a standalone app login. The linear AMC channel is a separate product from a Shudder subscription.
Check captions, content advisories, supported devices and current renewal terms. Availability can vary by region and change after this calendar was published.
