What Channel Is NFL Network on DIRECTV?
NFL Network is on DIRECTV channel 212. It's the same number on DIRECTV satellite and DIRECTV streaming, and it's included starting with the CHOICE package, so the entry-level ENTERTAINMENT package doesn't have it. With NFL Network carrying the league's London games on the next two Sunday mornings, here's which packages include it, how it's different from NFL RedZone and how to stream it.
Quick answer
- NFL Network on DIRECTV: channel 212
- Cheapest Signature package with NFL Network: CHOICE (also in ULTIMATE and PREMIER)
- Not included in: ENTERTAINMENT
- NFL RedZone: a separate channel (211 in DIRECTV's current lineup), included with PREMIER and otherwise an extra-cost add-on
- Streaming-only option: the MySports Genre Pack includes NFL Network
NFL channels on DIRECTV
| Network | DIRECTV channel | Lowest package that includes it |
|---|---|---|
| NFL Network | 212 | CHOICE |
| NFL RedZone | 211 | PREMIER (add-on for other packages) |
| ESPN (Monday Night Football) | 206 | ENTERTAINMENT |
| ESPN2 | 209 | ENTERTAINMENT |
| FS1 | 219 | ENTERTAINMENT |
| Local CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC | Varies by market | Any Signature package where locals are offered |
Most Sunday afternoon games air on your local CBS and FOX stations, Sunday Night Football is on NBC, and Monday Night Football is on ESPN. NFL Network is the place for its own game slate, including this fall's international games, plus year-round studio shows and NFL Films programming. For the full weekly slate, see our NFL Week 5 TV schedule.
Which DIRECTV packages include NFL Network?

|---|---|---|---|
| ENTERTAINMENT | No | Yes | Not included |
| CHOICE | Yes | Yes | Not included |
| ULTIMATE | Yes | Yes | Not included |

Bottom line: NFL Network starts at CHOICE. If you're on ENTERTAINMENT, you'll have ESPN for Monday Night Football and your local channels for Sunday games, but not channel 212.
NFL Network vs. NFL RedZone
These are two different channels, and it's the most common mix-up we hear about:
- NFL Network (212) is a full-time network: live games on its own schedule, plus news, analysis and NFL Films shows all year.
- NFL RedZone (211) runs only on Sunday afternoons during the regular season. It jumps between games to show touchdowns and key plays, commercial-free, for about seven hours.
RedZone is included with PREMIER. With other Signature packages it's an extra-cost add-on through DIRECTV's Sports Pack, and MySports customers can get it with the MySports Extra add-on. Get the details in what channel NFL RedZone is on DIRECTV and our guide on how to watch NFL RedZone.
Cheapest way to get NFL Network on DIRECTV
- Signature packages: CHOICE is the lowest package with NFL Network. It also adds NBA TV, MLB Network and Big Ten Network, plus your regional sports network where available.
- Sports-only streaming: the DIRECTV MySports Genre Pack includes NFL Network along with ESPN, FS1 and NBA TV, and comes with ESPN Unlimited. It's built for households that mostly watch sports.

Other ways to watch NFL Network
- DIRECTV app: watch channel 212 live on phones, tablets and streaming devices with your DIRECTV login if your package includes it.
- ESPN app: ESPN says NFL Network's games, including its international games, stream in the ESPN app for ESPN Unlimited subscribers. DIRECTV offers ESPN Unlimited at no extra cost to eligible customers whose package includes ESPN, so it's worth checking.
