The best budget TV deals this month

Roku 32" Select Series (2026, 1080p): $99.99

This is the cheapest TV on the list and a natural fit for a nightstand, dresser or kitchen counter. It's a Roku-made TV with Full HD resolution, Dolby Audio, a voice remote and Bluetooth Headphone Mode, so you can watch late at night without waking anyone. It's $99.99 at Amazon and Roku.com, down from a $179.99 list price at Amazon.

Amazon Ember 32" 2-Series: $134.99 for Prime members

Amazon's small Fire TV set is 720p HD (1366 x 768) and runs Fire OS. It has two HDMI inputs (one with eARC for a soundbar), Wi-Fi 6 and an Ethernet port, and it comes with the Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced. The $134.99 price is a Prime-exclusive deal (regularly $159.99). The catch: at this size, the Roku 32" gives you 1080p for less money.

Roku 43" Select Series 4K (2026): $179.99

If the bedroom has room for a 43-inch screen, this is the best value here. You get 4K resolution with HDR10, Roku Smart Picture, Dolby Audio, a voice remote and Bluetooth Headphone Mode for $179.99, down from $249.99 at both Amazon and Roku.com.

Roku 50" Select Series QLED (2026): $199.99

For $20 more than the 43-inch model, the 50-inch Select Series moves to a QLED 4K panel with HDR10. It also comes with Roku's enhanced voice remote, which has a lost-remote finder and personal shortcut buttons. It's $199.99 at Amazon and Roku.com (regularly $299.99). That's a strong price for a second TV in a larger room.

Amazon Ember 43" 4-Series: $199.99 for Prime members

The Ember 4-Series is Amazon's 43-inch 4K Fire TV with HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. It also has four HDMI inputs (one with eARC), Wi-Fi 6 and an Ethernet port. The $199.99 Prime-exclusive price is $130 off its $329.99 regular price. Pick it over the Roku 43" if you want more inputs or already use Fire TV and Alexa at home.

Our take: For most bedrooms, the Roku models win this month on price. You get a sharper 32" for less, and 4K at 43" and 50" for under $200. Choose an Ember if you live in Amazon's world or want more HDMI ports on the 43-inch. Planning to add DIRECTV to that second TV? Call 1-855-690-9884 to check service and pricing at your address.

Watching DIRECTV or live TV on a second TV

You don't need a cable box on every TV. DIRECTV's app runs on both Roku TVs and Fire TV smart TVs, so a new bedroom set can stream DIRECTV over your Wi-Fi with no extra box. See how to watch DIRECTV on a smart TV without a box, or how to stream local channels without cable.

Already have a TV that works fine? A $20 to $35 streaming stick may be all you need. See this month's streaming stick deals.
