Four ways to watch both on DIRECTV
| Option | How it works | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Two TVs | Put FOX on one TV and ESPN or ABC on another | Each TV needs its own DIRECTV receiver, Genie client or streaming device |
| Live plus DVR | Watch one game live and record the other | Set both recordings ahead of time from GUIDE |
| TV plus app | Watch one game on TV and stream the other on a phone, tablet or laptop | Use the DIRECTV app, FOX One or the ESPN app with your DIRECTV login |
| Multiview | Watch more than one live channel on one screen | Build Your Own Multiview is rolling out on DIRECTV Gemini and Roku; check which channels are eligible when the games start |
DIRECTV started rolling out Build Your Own Multiview on October 13 for DIRECTV streaming customers on Gemini and Roku, with more devices to follow. It lets you pick up to four eligible channels on one screen. ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network are on DIRECTV's list of eligible networks, and DIRECTV says local broadcast and national networks can become available when they carry eligible live sports, so check whether your FOX station appears in Multiview on game night. Our DIRECTV Gemini device guide covers the hardware.
If you're recording, extend both recordings past their scheduled end times. Baseball has no clock, so a long game can run past a recording that stops on schedule.
