Is FOX One Free With DIRECTV? How to Sign In, What It Costs and Whether You Need the $99 Deal
FOX is pushing a big deal on its FOX One streaming service right now: a full year for $99, half the regular annual price, but only through September 30, 2026. With MLB's National League Division Series starting October 3 on FOX and FS1 and Big Ten football on FOX every weekend, a lot of fans are asking whether they need to sign up.
If you have DIRECTV, the short answer is probably not. Here is why, how to sign in and when paying might make sense.
Is FOX One included with DIRECTV?
DIRECTV says its customers can access FOX networks and the FOX One app as part of their existing subscription, and that FOX One is included with qualifying plans. FOX's own site confirms that anyone with a paid TV provider subscription that includes the FOX networks can sign in with their provider credentials to watch live FOX content.
The key detail is that a DIRECTV sign-in unlocks the FOX channels in your DIRECTV package, not every network FOX One offers. If your package includes FS1 but not FS2, for example, you should expect the app to follow the same lineup.

What is FOX One?
FOX One launched on August 21, 2025, and brings FOX's live and on-demand programming together in one app. According to FOX, it includes:
- Sports: FOX Sports, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network (BTN), including MLB, college football and more

- Entertainment: live and on-demand FOX shows, plus your local FOX station

The $99 FOX One deal: what to know before September 30
- Price: $99 for the first year of the annual plan, a 50% savings off the regular $199.99 annual price.
- Deadline: the offer ends September 30, 2026.
- Where: only through fox.com with a promo code, for new subscribers and eligible monthly or returning subscribers.
- Renewal: after the first year, the plan auto-renews at the then-current regular price.
- Limits: eligible subscribers only, one redemption per user and it can't be combined with other offers.
Should DIRECTV customers buy FOX One?
For most DIRECTV households, paying for FOX One means paying twice for channels you already have. Consider it only if:
- You want FOX networks that are not in your DIRECTV package, such as FS2 or Big Ten Network on a lower tier.
- You are planning to drop pay TV entirely and want to lock in the lower annual rate first.
Otherwise, try your DIRECTV login first. If it works, you do not need to spend the $99.
How to sign in to FOX One with DIRECTV
- Open the FOX One app or go to fox.com.
- Select TV Provider Sign In.
- Choose DIRECTV from the provider list.
- Sign in with your DIRECTV username and password. On a TV, you may be shown a code to enter at fox.com/activate on your phone or computer.
To use FOX One's DVR after a provider sign-in, FOX says you'll need to create a free FOX Account from the app's "My Stuff" page.
