Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey becomes available to buy digitally and on disc on November 17, 2026. Universal's home-entertainment announcement lists digital ownership, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. This is a home-release date, not a confirmed subscription-streaming premiere.

For device setup, see our Gemini and streaming-app guide. Our Prime Video profile guide explains how to organize household viewing; adding a profile does not buy the movie.

Buying through Prime Video

Amazon's US announcement says the film will be available to purchase through Prime Video on November 17, with a $19.99 preorder price. A Prime membership is not required for that purchase. Check the final price, format, region and release date on the actual movie listing before paying.

A separate movie purchase is different from a title included in a Prime subscription. Do not subscribe merely because the movie appears in the Prime Video store. Look for the purchase button and its terms, and confirm the account that will hold access to the film.

4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray

Universal also announces a November 17 release on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, with more than 90 minutes of bonus material across the home release. Check the specific edition's contents and included formats rather than assuming every retailer's package is identical.

For a disc purchase, confirm that your player supports the format you choose. A standard Blu-ray player is not automatically a 4K Ultra HD player. If a package advertises a digital code, check the redemption service, region and expiration information on that particular edition.

Is the full movie on Peacock?

Do not confuse the feature film with Peacock's short behind-the-scenes program, The Odyssey: The Making of an Epic. That featurette is a separate listing. Its availability does not mean the complete movie is included with a Peacock subscription.

The home-release announcement reviewed for this guide does not give a firm subscription-streaming date for the feature. Check Peacock's actual movie listing and official announcements when deciding whether to wait for subscription access.

Before you order

Confirm that you are selecting Nolan's 2026 film rather than an older adaptation or the making-of program. Check the release date in your region, whether the button says buy or rent, the viewing format and the account used for payment. Retail offers can change after this guide is reviewed.

If you use a television provider's streaming device, the app and any movie purchase may still require a separate account and charge. Buying a TV package does not itself include this digital purchase. Compare DIRECTV options for regular television service, and use the movie retailer's checkout for the film itself.
