What to expect
Takayuki Yamada plays KK, host of a quiz show that controls an alternate Japan. Winners can have extraordinary wishes granted, while losers face severe penalties. A group trying to bring down the show draws the host into a wider conflict.
Netflix announces an eight-episode live-action adaptation of the manga written by Reiichi Sugimoto and illustrated by Shinkichi Kato. Riko Ishida, Kana Kurashina, Koji Seto, Masahiro Takashima, Eiko Koike and Renji Ishibashi join the cast. The dystopian premise is fictional, rather than a real televised contest viewers can enter.
