Why did Bears vs. Packers move to 1 p.m.?
It's the NFL's first flex-scheduling move of the 2026 season. FOX has the national doubleheader in Week 5, and Bears-Packers was one of three FOX games in the 4:25 p.m. ET window. Moving it to 1 p.m. leaves 49ers at Seahawks and Lions at Cardinals in the late window. National coverage of the move pointed to Chicago's quarterback situation: Caleb Williams has a Grade 2 hamstring strain that's expected to keep him out three to four weeks, leaving Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum to start. No other Week 5 games changed.
What channel is Bears vs. Packers on DIRECTV?
FOX doesn't have one national channel number on DIRECTV. It comes through your local FOX affiliate, so the number depends on your market. DIRECTV includes local channels with its core packages where available. Press Guide and look for your FOX station's call letters, or check DIRECTV's lineup for your ZIP code.
If you removed local channels from your satellite package, add them back in your DIRECTV account a day or more ahead, since guide updates can take up to 24 hours. See our guide to adding local channels on DIRECTV.
Will Bears vs. Packers be on TV in my area?
Bears-Packers is a regional game. It's one of four FOX games at 1 p.m. ET, along with Bengals at Dolphins, Vikings at Saints and Giants at Commanders. Because FOX has the doubleheader, FOX markets also get a 4:25 p.m. game. CBS has four 1 p.m. games and Broncos at Chargers at 4:05 p.m.
FOX's Week 5 coverage maps hadn't been published as of October 2. Teams' home markets normally get their own games, so viewers in the Chicago and Green Bay-Milwaukee areas should expect it. We'll update this page when the maps are out. If it isn't on FOX near you, NFL Sunday Ticket is the way to watch live at home.

Is Bears vs. Packers on NFL Sunday Ticket with DIRECTV?
No. Residential DIRECTV customers can't get NFL Sunday Ticket anymore. The out-of-market package moved to YouTube and YouTube TV in 2023, and that's where fans outside the local broadcast area can watch this game.
Bars, restaurants and other businesses are different. For the 2026 season, DIRECTV for Business can again offer NFL Sunday Ticket to commercial venues under an agreement with EverPass, the league's commercial distributor. So if this game isn't on TV where you live, a sports bar with DIRECTV may have it.
What DIRECTV homes do have is NFL RedZone on channel 211, which jumps between every Sunday-afternoon game. It's an add-on for most packages and included with PREMIER.
Bears vs. Packers storylines
- Chicago (2-1) beat Philadelphia 27-7 in Week 3 but will likely be without Caleb Williams.
- Green Bay (1-2) lost 35-14 to Atlanta at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football in Week 3, ending a 13-game winning streak in home openers.
- Last season's rivalry was all national TV: the teams met three times, including the playoffs, in a late-afternoon FOX window, a Saturday night FOX game and a Prime Video playoff game.
- Week 4 comes first: the Bears host the Jets and the Packers visit Tampa Bay on October 4.
