Does FOX One Have Ads? What to Know Before You Subscribe
By American TV editorial team |
Yes, FOX One has ads. Live sports, news and other live programming on FOX One carry commercial breaks, and the on-demand library has ads too. FOX doesn't sell an ad-free version of FOX One, so every subscriber sees commercials.
Find the FOX channel in your area, compare ESPN Unlimited ads, and review Paramount+ ads before deciding which service fits your viewing.
See our FOX One and DIRECTV sign-in guide and compare DIRECTV options at your address before paying for separate access.
FOX One plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Ads? |
|---|---|---|
| FOX One monthly | $19.99/month | Yes |
| FOX One annual | $199.99/year | Yes |
| FOX One + FOX Nation bundle | $24.99/month | Yes |
The service offers FOX sports, news and entertainment. Check the current channel list, local-station availability and supported devices for your location before subscribing.
Can you skip ads on FOX One?
Do not assume that an ad can be skipped because you are paying for a subscription. Playback and skipping controls can vary by program, device and viewing method. Check the controls provided for the actual title; an annual subscription is not an ad-removal upgrade.
FOX One vs. FOX on DIRECTV
DIRECTV local FOX availability depends on the address, package and current carriage. Other FOX networks also depend on the selected package. Live broadcasts contain commercials; recording and playback controls depend on the equipment and service.
If you already pay for a TV provider that includes the FOX networks, FOX says you can sign in to FOX One with your provider login to watch live FOX content without a separate subscription. Our guide on whether FOX One is free with DIRECTV covers how that sign-in works.
| FOX One | FOX on DIRECTV | |
|---|---|---|
| Commercials | Yes, live and on demand | Yes on live TV |
| Ad-free option | None | None for live channels |
| Local FOX station | Check local availability | Check local lineup and package |
| Other channels | FOX family networks only | Hundreds of channels, depending on package |
| Recording | Check current app features | Depends on service and equipment |
Is FOX One worth it with ads?
FOX One makes sense if you've cut the cord and mostly watch FOX sports and news. If you also want ESPN, local channels from other networks and regional sports, a DIRECTV package puts them in one place.
