DISH has posted a new price schedule for its satellite TV packages, and the change that will catch most people is on a separate line of the bill: local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC now come from a Locals Pack that costs $17 a month on most packages. Below are the new everyday prices, what each package really costs once you keep your locals, how to bring your bill down.
New DISH package prices with the $17 Locals Pack
These are DISH's everyday rates for customers who aren't on a price guarantee. The third column adds the $17 Locals Pack, since most people want their local channels.

Two packages already include locals in their price: the Welcome Pack and DishLATINO Básico. If you have either, you don't need the Locals Pack. DISH sets the Welcome Pack price by when you signed up, and long-time Welcome Pack customers pay a lower legacy rate. Check your bill to see which price you have.

When does the new price hit my bill?
- Not on a price guarantee: the new rate starts on your next billing date after the change.
- On DISH's 2-Year Price Guarantee: you keep your locked rate until the guarantee ends. After that you move to the everyday price.
- Taxes and surcharges: a few state surcharges went up on the same date. Connecticut's rose 37 cents, Delaware's 11 cents, Kentucky's 8 cents, Ohio's 2 cents and Puerto Rico's 1 cent. The federal FCC fee went up 1 cent.
One catch that's easy to miss: DISH's offer terms on dish.com say that if you pause your service, you forfeit remaining Netflix promotional bill credits under that offer, and your commitment picks up again when you unpause. Snowbirds should ask DISH what a seasonal pause does to their price guarantee before pausing.

DISH's website shows lower prices for new customers who sign up for the 2-Year Price Guarantee. As of October 8, 2026, dish.com listed:

They require a 2-year commitment, eAutoPay and credit qualification, and there's an early termination fee of $20 for each month left if you cancel early. Equipment fees apply after 2 years.
Notice the gap. DISH's new-customer fine print lists $107.99 as the after-guarantee price for America's Top 120, but the everyday schedule existing customers see lists $104.99 plus the $17 Locals Pack ($121.99). The two pages don't line up, so before you sign up or renew, ask DISH in writing what your price will be once the guarantee ends.
How to lower your DISH bill
