YouTube TV Drops Court TV, Tastemade and The Young Turks: Where to Watch Them Now
YouTube TV's lineup is getting smaller today. Starting Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Court TV, Tastemade and The Young Turks are being removed from every YouTube TV plan, with the channels coming off throughout the day. Recordings from those channels go away too: shows saved in your YouTube TV Library can no longer be played from October 1 on.
If you watch any of the three, you have options. Below is what is leaving, what happens to your recordings and where each channel is still available, including two that DIRECTV carries for free.
Which channels is YouTube TV removing?
- Court TV: live trial coverage plus prime-time true-crime shows
- Tastemade: food, travel and lifestyle programming
- The Young Turks (TYT): news, politics and commentary
- Tastemade Español from the Spanish Plus add-on
- Tastemade in 4K from the 4K Plus add-on
YouTube TV told members about the change in an email earlier this month. It hasn't given a public reason. Industry reporting says the service is favoring high-demand entertainment, movie, sports and news networks over lifestyle and niche channels. YouTube TV hasn't announced any other removals, so the rest of the core lineup stays the same heading into October.
What happens to your DVR recordings?
YouTube TV's notice says the removal covers live content and anything in your Library that you recorded from these channels. YouTube TV hasn't announced any way to keep those recordings, so if you have unwatched trials, cooking shows or TYT episodes saved, today is your last chance to watch them. The notice didn't mention a bill credit. You can review your billing or cancel under Settings > Membership in YouTube TV.
YouTube TV says members can still watch select content from all three channels on regular YouTube.

- DIRECTV: Court TV is on channel 4230 as part of MyFree DIRECTV, the free, ad-supported channel lineup you watch in the DIRECTV app. DIRECTV customers get it, and so does anyone who signs up for a free DIRECTV account.
- Fubo: Court TV is part of Fubo's live lineup.
- Free streaming apps: Pluto TV, The Roku Channel and Tubi all stream Court TV. Channel availability can vary by service.

- DIRECTV: Tastemade is on channel 235 in the free MyFree DIRECTV lineup.
- Other paid services: Fubo, Philo, Sling TV and Prime Video.
- Free streaming apps: The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus and Xumo Play.
Where to watch The Young Turks now
TYT got its start online, and its shows stay free on YouTube. It also runs a 24-hour live stream built from its online shows, and that feed is widely available on free streaming platforms.
