Shows center on relationships, coming of age, and personal development. Freeform has been known for its "25 Days of Christmas" programming event, during which it airs holiday-themed movies and shows during the month of December.

Aside from being available on DIRECTV, Freeform is also available on certain streaming platforms and on some cable rosters with the notable exception of Spectrum. That agreement ended in August 2023.
