Runestone Telephone Association (RTA) is a locally-based internet and telephone provider that serves the small towns and rural areas west of
St. Paul, Minnesota. It was founded in 1938 as a rural telephone carrier, and made the transition to an internet and telephone company in the early 1990s. RTA provides reliable, cost-effective services to more than 33 rural communities in a roughly 5-county area. The company's coverage area includes Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Pine, and Washington counties.
