Orcas Power & Light Cooperative (OPALCO) is a rural electric utility cooperative serving the San Juan Islands of Washington state since 1937. It provides electric service to over 10,000 members on over 45 islands in the North Puget Sound. The cooperative offers a variety of services, including high-speed internet, digital phone, and fiber-optic video service.
OPALCO's coverage area consists of approximately 90% of the North Puget Sound in Washington. Because of its isolated location, the cooperative is the only internet provider in the area. OPALCO provides reliable, high-speed internet with speeds ranging from 200 Mbps to 2,000 Mbps.
