Electric Plant Board (EPB) is an internet service provider in the United States, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is owned by the city government and provides internet, television, and phone services to homes and businesses over their fiber optic network.
EPB was originally created in the 1920s and 1930s to supply power to the residents of Chattanooga. In 2008, it began upgrading its power grid with a fiber optic network. This meant that the fiber network would be able to deliver internet, television, and phone services.
EPB's coverage area includes Chattanooga, Hamilton County, and parts of surrounding counties, as well as parts of Georgia and Alabama. EPB offers different services to residential and business customers. Residential customers can get speeds up to 1000 Mbps and voice services. Business customers can get speeds up to 10 Gbps and voice services. All services use EPB's fiber-optic network.
