Colorado Wireless Exchange Cooperative (CWEC) was founded in 2007 with a mission to provide reliable and affordable wireless broadband services to rural communities and underserved areas within Colorado. CWEC provides wireless fixed broadband internet services to the most unserved areas of the state. The service offers speeds of up to 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. Customers can choose different monthly plans based on data allowance, ranging from 20GB to 300GB. CWEC's infrastructure is based on licensed point-to-point and point-to-multipoint frequencies, which are spread across roughly 75,000 square miles. Coverage is available in 19 states in Colorado and Wyoming, including the western slope, eastern plains, and southeastern and southwestern corners.
