Chelan County PUD was established in 1937 and is a publicly owned power utility based in North Central Washington. It is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners who are elected by the residents of Chelan County. The PUD provides public electric service to over 50,000 customers in parts of Chelan, Okanogan and Douglas counties. The PUD generates, transmits, and distributes a reliable supply of electricity to its customers through a range of operations. Chelan PUD operates 6 hydroelectric power generation facilities and has access to Bonneville Power Administration and Yakama Nation Power. The PUD also owns and operates an electric transmission system. The PUD provides a wide variety of services that are reliable, efficient and affordable.
