Find CBS Sports Network in your account
Open your DIRECTV guide and search for the matchup on November 10. Match the teams and kickoff time, rather than selecting a similarly named program or replay. Our CBS Sports Network channel guide provides background on the network.
CBS Sports Network is a separate channel from your local CBS station. A subscription that supplies the local affiliate does not by itself establish access to channel 221. DIRECTV's published guide lists CBS Sports Network with selected packages and sports options; check the actual lineup for your service and account before ordering a change.
Check your viewing device before Tuesday
If you will watch through an app, confirm that the game is available on that device with your account. Check any location, device and sign-in requirements. Do not assume a separate streaming subscription includes every CBS-branded sports channel simply because it includes CBS programming.
Test playback early enough to resolve a login or equipment problem. For an account change, review the complete recurring price, any promotional period and the channels included in the final order. This guide does not quote an unverified offer or promise a free trial.
Plan your reminder and recording
This is a Tuesday evening game, so check the date carefully when setting a calendar reminder. Both Akron's schedule and Western Michigan's schedule identify November 10 at 7 p.m. in the Eastern time zone. Viewers on the West Coast should plan for a 4 p.m. start.
For a recording, select the correct game entry and check the recording features supported by your service. A reminder and an actual recording are different actions. Review the guide again close to kickoff in case the listing changes.
For a later college football broadcast, Cal at Virginia on November 14 is assigned to ACC Network. That game requires checking a different channel and package.
