What makes this special different
Drew Carey hosts, with George Gray announcing. CBS is presenting the holiday hour as a real-time broadcast, a first during the show’s long run on that network. The announced games include Plinko, Cliffhangers and Lucky $even, followed by the Big Wheel and a showcase.
A separate retrospective, The Price Is Right: 20 Seasons of Drew Carey, airs Tuesday, December 15, from 8–9 PM ET/PT on CBS. It is a different special. Confirm the date when setting a recording so you do not select the retrospective instead of the December 13 holiday event.
Watch on your local CBS station
Search the complete holiday-special title in the DIRECTV guide near the broadcast date. Local station numbers vary by market and address. Confirm that your account includes the station and check the time shown in your own guide before setting a recording.
CBS publishes the slot as 8–9 PM ET/PT. Check local listings for the feed and time zone that apply to you. The event’s live billing does not replace the need to check the local schedule, particularly if you will watch in a different time zone.
Stream with Paramount+
CBS says Premium subscribers can use the live feed of their local CBS affiliate and on-demand viewing. Essential subscribers receive on-demand access the day after the special airs. Check your current plan and the title’s listing before relying on a live stream.
Sign in to the correct account on a supported device, complete any required provider or bundle activation, and test playback beforehand. An installed app or a television package alone does not establish a separate Paramount+ subscription.
Before the holiday broadcast
- Choose the December 13 live holiday listing.
- Confirm local CBS access and the time zone.
- Check recording support and available storage if recording.
- Test Paramount+ sign-in if you plan to stream.
- Use the December 15 listing separately for the Drew Carey retrospective.
