SWAC's May 27 television announcement and ESPN's HBCU schedule independently identify the December 5 ESPN2 telecast. A championship matchup is different from a regular-season game involving the same schools. Check the complete event name and date when the teams are announced.
Find ESPN2 in the DIRECTV guide
Search for the SWAC Championship on December 5, then confirm ESPN2 and the start time. Our ESPN2 channel guide covers the network. Channel 209 identifies ESPN2; it does not establish that every account, package and viewing device has access.
Use the lineup for your actual DIRECTV service. If a package change is needed, inspect the included channels, complete recurring price and equipment requirements before accepting an offer. This guide does not quote an unverified price, promise a free trial or treat a ZIP lookup as final eligibility.
Check app access separately
ESPN's season announcement lists the ESPN App among viewing options. Confirm the particular game's listing and the access attached to your account before relying on an app. A product carrying the ESPN name does not by itself prove access to every ESPN2 telecast.
Test the supported device you plan to use, especially away from home. Account sign-in, location and subscription requirements can affect the option available. Keep the television guide entry and any streaming listing separate so that a successful login is not mistaken for verified access to the game.
Follow the winner to the Celebration Bowl
ESPN identifies the SWAC Championship winner as advancing to face the MEAC champion in the Celebration Bowl on December 12. That is a separate ABC telecast, with different local-channel checks.
Save a reminder now, then revisit the conference announcement for the actual teams and campus site. For a recording, select the championship entry and verify that recording is scheduled. Avoid substituting an older title-game replay or guessing a host from a current standings table.
