What is Gigantes con Don Francisco?
TelevisaUnivision describes the show as a series of special programs built around in-depth interviews, surprises and reunions. Don Francisco hosts with co-host Nitzia Chama, the actress, journalist and Despierta América personality. Lucero, Luis Fonsi and Memo Ochoa are among the first guests announced.
Each episode is built around its guest and mixes:
- A live band and archival footage from the guest's career
- Surprise reunions with family, friends and colleagues
- Studio audience games with cash prizes, and even a chance to win a car
For longtime viewers, the setting is part of the draw. It's the studio where Sábado Gigante was taped, the variety show that holds the Guinness World Record as the longest-running TV variety show with the same host.
