Reclaimed materials and natural and urban settings run through the episode.
SOUTH focuses on artists building a hopeful future in the American South. It visits the elaborate costumes of New Orleans masking societies, including Shaka Zulu of the Golden Feather Hunters and Edward Buckner of the Red Flame Hunters, mosaic stained glass in Miami, and the artist community rebuilding after Hurricane Helene. Featured artists also include Ato Ribeiro, the Osceola-Zepeda family, Vicki Essig and Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo.
