What is Alaska State Troopers about?
The series follows the officers who police America's largest state, where backup can be hours away and long stretches of road run through empty wilderness. The "blue shirt" Alaska State Troopers patrol towns, highways and villages, while the "brown shirt" Alaska Wildlife Troopers enforce hunting and fishing rules. Many calls involve armed suspects, so even a routine traffic stop can turn dangerous.
The show first aired on National Geographic Channel in 2009. A&E picked it up for Season 9 earlier this year, and Season 10 returns to the same Wednesday 8 p.m. slot.
