The Golden State Valkyries took Game 1 of their WNBA semifinal from the defending-champion Las Vegas Aces, 71-60, at Chase Center. Game 2 is Wednesday, October 7, at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) in San Francisco, and Game 3 is Friday, October 9, at 9:30 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.

Both games stream on Peacock and air on NBCSN. NBCSN isn't in DIRECTV's lineup, so Peacock is how DIRECTV customers watch Games 2 and 3. A Game 4, if needed, would be on NBC, which you get on your local NBC station.

How to watch Aces vs. Valkyries on DIRECTV

Games 2, 3 and 5: Peacock

NBC Sports Network carries Games 2, 3 and 5 on TV, but it isn't on DIRECTV; it's carried by Xfinity, YouTube TV and Fubo. Those games also stream on Peacock, so that's the way to watch with DIRECTV. Peacock is a separate subscription. Eligible DIRECTV customers can add Peacock Premium through their DIRECTV account, and DIRECTV's Movies Extra Pack add-on includes Peacock Premium. On its own, Peacock Premium is $12.99 a month. The Peacock app is available on DIRECTV Gemini devices, smart TVs, phones and streaming players. Game 4: your local NBC station

If the series reaches a Game 4 on Sunday, October 11, it airs on NBC and streams on Peacock. DIRECTV includes your local NBC station with its core packages where local channels are available; the channel number depends on your market. See what channel NBC is in your area.

Series preview

  • Game 1 recap: Gabby Williams had 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, and Kiah Stokes grabbed 14 rebounds with three blocks. Golden State outrebounded Las Vegas 52-25 and held the Aces to their lowest point total of the season.
  • Aces stars: A'ja Wilson, the reigning MVP and the league's leading scorer, had 24 points in Game 1, and Chelsea Gray added 16.
  • Injury watch: Las Vegas guard Jewell Loyd left Game 1 early in the third quarter with a left leg injury, and her status for Game 2 was uncertain. Forward Stephanie Talbot missed Game 1 with a left leg injury.
  • Seeds and history: Golden State is the No. 2 seed and Las Vegas the No. 3 seed. Before Sunday, the second-year Valkyries had beaten the Aces only once, and Las Vegas swept the regular-season series. The Aces swept Phoenix in last year's WNBA Finals.
  • Familiar faces: Stokes won three titles with Las Vegas, and Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase was an Aces assistant for two of them before winning 2025 WNBA Coach of the Year.
