DIRECTV has four packages to offer. As you review your options, bear in mind that promoted prices have additional mandatory fees that can add up fast. These include a receiver fee of $15; a Regional Sports Fee of $15.99/mo. for 3 of the 4 packages; a $10/mo. fee if you opt out of Paperless Billing and AutoPay, and others. DIRECTV has a lot to offer and can be a good value for the right customer but be aware of the additional costs. We estimate that pricing will range, all in, from roughly $100 a month to $200+ per month depending on the package you choose. All plans start with a required 24-mo. contract after which you can go month-to-month at whatever the going rate is at that time. You can DVR with DIRECTV using the Genie device that lets you record and watch shows on 1 or more TVs. The Genie can stream live TV, on-demand content, and DVR recordings. It also allows you to download movies and shows to watch offline.

DIRECTV’s Gemini device that lets you stream other TV apps on up to 5 devices at once if you have a high-speed internet connection. It comes with preloaded apps like Max and Netflix (these are pay-to-watch streaming services that are in addition to your DIRECTV costs). Gemini lets you add your own video, music, and gaming apps. It comes with a voice activated remote control from Google Assistant. The remote connects via Bluetooth because that is the fastest way to pair devices. It also has 4K HDR over HDMI output and optical audio out.
