Yes, the national ABC primary channel is blacked out on YouTube TV. Disney owns ABC as well as many other channels. This year, when Disney's carrier agreements expired with certain cable companies and with YouTube TV, some Disney-owned channels went dark. This blackout affected a significant number of channels, including National Geographic, FX, Disney Channel, Freeform and others.

While ABC News Live, Nat Geo, and Disney Channel have now been restored on YouTube TV, the primary ABC national channel is currently not listed. One potential workaround is to check if your local ABC affiliate station is included in your YouTube TV channel lineup, as these local affiliates often broadcast some of the national programming. Alternatively, you can pick up a good indoor flat TV antenna for about $35 that attaches to your wall and get your local TV channels at no additional cost.

Disney's channel empire includes channels such as ESPN, ABC, History, Freeform, National Geographic, A&E, Lifetime, and more. It can be frustrating when one or several of these channels suddenly vanish from a list you’re paying to access. The Terms and Conditions we agree to when signing up for any streamed TV service includes a notice that channel lineups can change without notice. More content providers like Disney are holding back their best content from TV streaming platforms and instead delivering it via their own branded, paid subscription apps. TV streaming services must offer enough of a channel selection to attract and retain subscribers who now have dozens of other choices but like the convenience of a one-stop TV solution.
