The animation industry underwent an earthquake in 2022 with several unexpected cancellations and the unsettling trend of companies pulling completed series off their streaming platforms. However, this doesn't mean that new shows aren't on the horizon. In fact, some beloved classics are returning with new seasons, sequels, and reboots. Here, we present our eagerly awaited animated premieres of 2023 from Netflix, Disney+, Max, and Amazon Prime.

Netflix's Upcoming Animated Shows

  4. Disenchantment | Fantasy Sitcom and Satire

The final season premiered on September 1, and the entire series is currently available on Netflix.

From the creators of Futurama, Disenchantment follows the adventures of an insubordinate princess in a weird and enchantingly odd kingdom where she fights cults, several very bad creatures and a few members of her immediate family. After a hiatus that lasted a year, the show is back with its fifth and possibly final season.

If Scott wants to win her heart, he must defeat all seven of Ramona’s very bad exes.
