DIRECTV is part of the Season 46 story
The launch comes with an on-screen connection. DIRECTV is supporting the Weatherholt family of Jupiter, Florida, who will be featured in Season 46 of Military Makeover. Billy Weatherholt joined the U.S. Air Force at 17 in the wake of September 11 and served as a firefighter EMT on two overseas deployments. He still serves his South Florida community today as a firefighter and paramedic. He, his wife Autum and their daughter Tatum are receiving a full home makeover.
As part of that project, DIRECTV will appear in a short segment of the new season and will set the family up with a year of DIRECTV Signature streaming service and DIRECTV Gemini devices. VIZIO is also contributing five smart TVs to the newly renovated home.
DIRECTV framed the move as an extension of its ongoing veteran support, which includes work with the Bob Woodruff Foundation and its Got Your 6 Network.
