Shipping, Delivery and Pick-up Options:
American makes several shipping, pick-up and
delivery options available for purchases made on-line:
American can ship your UPSable product anywhere
within the United States. Your shopping cart will reflect the
cost of shipping to you. Rest assured that this cost will be no
more than the cost UPS charges plus $1.50 for our handling. However,
in many cases, your shipping cost will be To find your exact shipping/delivery
charges, go ahead and add product to your cart. When you view
the cart contents, click the "add'l Shipping, Delivery and
Store Pick-up options". This will show each available option
and its cost. Don't worry, this in no way obligates you to the
purchase. That will only happen when you "checkout"
and press the "place order" button.
If the product is too large for UPS, and you
live within our delivery area - your shopping cart will reflect
a delivery charge for us to deliver the product to your home.
If the product is too large for UPS and you live outside our delivery
area - you will see store pick-up as the only option. This is
because shipping costs of this sized product are cost prohibitive,
or the product will not transport well and could be damaged.
As always, you can avoid delivery charges
by picking up your items at the American store nearest you. If
you would like to pick-up your product purchased on-line at any
of our stores, you can do so by clicking on the shipping/delivery
options link in your shopping cart. That will lead you to a screen
where you can select store pick-up and thus save the shipping
or delivery charges.
