Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation (BRMEMC) is a member-based,consumer-owned cooperative that provides electric power service to its members in northeast Georgia. Founded in 1940, the cooperative strives to provide quality service through reliable power supply, competitive prices, and excellent customer service. BRMEMC offers a variety of plans and services to meet its members' electricity needs. The cooperative offers three different rate plans for residential members; Power Cost Recovery Adjustment (PCRA), Time-of-Use (TOU)and Total Usage (TU) rate plans. Its commercial members can choose from either the PCRA, TOU, or Demand Rate plans. BRMEMC's coverage area includes portions of five counties in northeast Georgia. It serves about 82,000 members, both residential and commercial, spanning 175.08 miles of electric line across 10 counties.
