Allamakee- Clayton Electric Cooperative (ACEC), is a member-owned electric provider. It was founded in 1937, and their service territory covers nearly 700 square miles in northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota. The cooperative serves about 6,500 members with a total connected load of 77 megawatts and a peak demand of more than 30 megawatts. They have recently started providing fiber-based Internet services in their territory, offering speeds up to 500 Mbps and providing reliable Internet to their members.
